Phaselis Ancient City is one of the most important historical landmarks in the Kemer region.
It was founded in the 7th century BC by settlers from Rhodes and remained one of the most significant ports on the eastern Lycian coast for many years.
The ancient city features three natural harbors: the North Harbor, the Military or Protected Harbor, and the South Harbor, which was the most important of the three.
At the heart of Phaselis lies a magnificent main street measuring approximately 20–24 meters wide.
At the southern end of this street stands Hadrian’s Gate, while walking paths and ancient shops line both sides. Nearby, visitors can find public structures such as baths, the agora, and the theater, reflecting the city’s historical importance.
